Silencers & Suppressors — Done Right at CDC Arms

Skip the headache. Use our in-store Silencer Shop kiosk, and we’ll handle the rest.

Buying a silencer involves federal paperwork, fingerprints, photos, and an ATF Form 4 — historically a confusing process that can drag on for months. We’ve partnered with Silencer Shop, the nation’s largest suppressor retailer, to make it as simple as visiting our store in Fort Mohave.

Why buy your silencer through CDC Arms?

🎯 In-Store Silencer Shop Kiosk

We have a Silencer Shop kiosk right inside our shop. In about 10 minutes, we’ll handle your fingerprints, photo, and Form 4 e-file — no separate fingerprint appointment, no mail-in cards, no notary runs.

🤝 Local, In-Person Service

Questions about which suppressor fits your rifle, host gun compatibility, or whether to file as an individual or trust? Talk to us face-to-face.

📦 No Transfer Fees

When your tax stamp is approved, your silencer ships to CDC Arms and we’ll call you to come pick it up. CDC Arms does not charge any transfer fee — your only cost is the silencer itself.

How it works

1. Browse & Choose — Pick out the silencer you want at silencershop.com. CDC Arms is already set as your dealer, so you don’t have to do anything to attach us to your order.

2. Visit Our Kiosk — Stop by our store. We’ll do fingerprints, your photo, and submit the Form 4 electronically to the ATF in about 10 minutes. Walk-ins welcome.

3. ATF Processing — The ATF reviews your application. With recent rule changes, e-Form 4 approval times are now often days or weeks (not the year-plus it used to take). Silencer Shop tracks status for you.

4. Pick Up at CDC Arms — Once approved, your silencer ships to us. We’ll call to let you know it’s ready, and you complete the transfer in person — with no transfer fee from us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to come to the store?

For the kiosk visit (fingerprints + photo), yes — that’s the federally required in-person step. Everything else can be done online.

Individual or trust?

Both work. Trusts let you add responsible persons who can also possess the silencer. We can talk you through which makes sense for your situation when you visit.

What’s the wait time?

With the new e-Form 4 process, approvals have been coming back in days to weeks for many customers. There’s no guarantee — the ATF moves at the ATF’s pace — but it’s much faster than it used to be.

What does it cost?

Just the price of the silencer. Recent federal law eliminated the $200 NFA transfer tax for silencers, so there is no tax stamp fee. CDC Arms charges no transfer fee either.

What should I bring to the kiosk visit?

A government-issued photo ID. That’s it — Silencer Shop’s kiosk handles the rest.
